Pierce County Human Services Scholarship
The purpose of this funding is to help increase child care
in Pierce County and to support current child care providers or child care
volunteers interested in obtaining degrees or certificates in early learning.
In order to qualify for this scholarship, applicants must
live or work in Pierce County, with the intent of attending a program at a
college or university in the state of Washington, to complete a degree or
certificate in early childhood education. Applicants can pursue business
management or business administration if they are a director or owner of a
facility.
Application notifications are sent via email the first week
of the month following your submission. For example, if you submit an
application on March 14th, you will be notified during the first week of April.
As of January 1st, 2024 this is a scholarship of
first dollar. If you are awarded a scholarship your funding will be applied
before grants (including the Federal Pell Grant), loans and other gift aid.
The funding
for this scholarship ends December 31st, 2024.
